Tragedy struck on Saturday at the Wawa Military Cantonment in New Bussa, Niger State, when a soldier, identified as Lance Corporal Femi Akinleye, shot his wife dead before turning the gun on himself. Officials of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) have intercepted two passengers at the Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal 2 (MMA2), Lagos, with a staggering $6.1 million in cash allegedly concealed in multiple boxes. The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has reopened its student verification portal for a final 48-hour window to allow tertiary institutions that are yet to complete their verification processes to do so.
