In a recent development, the Nigeria Police Force has confirmed the arrest of a dismissed Nigeria Air Force officer, along with a civilian and their active-duty military associates.  Operatives of the FID-STS intercepted the group while transporting military accouterments from Kaduna State to Zamfara State, specifically in the Shinkafi Local Government Area, with the intention of supplying bandits. A Federal High Court, Abuja has restrained the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission from inviting or investigating Brigadier General Charles Nengite over alleged money laundering offence during his secondment to the Niger Delta Development Commission. Justice Obiora Egwuatu made an order of perpetual injunction restraining the EFCC from probing him on Wednesday.
