The Federal Government has projected that electricity subsidies in Nigeria will amount to a staggering N2.4tn by the end of 2024, driven by foreign exchange fluctuations and tariff adjustments. Amnesty International has revealed that at least 24 protesters lost their lives and over 1,200 were arrested during the recent nationwide #EndBadGovernance protests in Nigeria.
