The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, says no fewer than  53 persons have lost their lives to cholera outbreak across the country.  This development was disclosed in an update issued by the agency on Monday via its official X platform. The Borno State Police Command has explained how Gunmen abducted a High Court judge, Justice Haruna Mshelia along with his wife, orderly, and driver in the Biu Local Government Area of the state.  The spokesman for the police command, ASP Nahum Daso,confirmed the incident  in a statement made available  to journalists on Monday.  According to Daso, the incident occurred on June 21, 2024, at approximately 9 am along the Biu-Maiduguri Road, specifically at Jiba town. Bandits have killed Professor Yusuf Saidu, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Research, Innovation, and Development at Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto (UDUS).  The university disclosed this  in a statement released on Monday. PLATFORM TIMES gathered that Professor Saidu was attacked and killed by bandits while travelling from Sokoto to Kaduna State.  Details surrounding the attack remain unclear.. Justice Mohammed Liman of a Federal High Court in Lagos on Monday acquitted a former speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Adeyemi Ikuforiji and his former aide, Oyebode Atoyebi, of 54-counts of money laundering.. Daud Olatunji  The Kano State Judicial Service Commission has taken disciplinary actions against four magistrates and one court registrar due to alleged various misdemeanours.  This decision was reached during the Commission’s 72nd and 73rd meetings held on June 11 and June 20, 2024, respectively. The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control has notified Nigerians about the illegal production and sale of unregistered B-GAG mist pot CIT syrup. The alert is contained in a public notice No. 023/2024, issued by the agency’s Director-General, Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye, in Abuja on Sunday.
