No fewer than 21 persons have been confirmed dead following a devastating flood that submerged two communities in Mokwa Local Government Area of Niger State in the early hours of Thursday. No fewer than 4,169 Nigerian teacher candidates failed the 2025 Batch ‘A’ Professional Qualifying Examination (PQE) conducted by the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN), representing a failure rate of 32.38 per cent. This was revealed in a statement on Wednesday by the Director of Certification and Licensing at the TRCN, Dr. Jacinta Ezeahurukwe. According to the Council, a total of 13,782 candidates registered for the nationwide certification examination held between May 15 and 17.
