Jelili Gbadamosi An Ikeja Magistrates’ court has sentenced two men to 18 months’ imprisonment for stealing air conditioners valued at N350,000 belonging to a church. The convicts are Jubril Karim, 27, and Augustine Ogbor, 47, who both live in the Ayobo area of Lagos and faced charges of conspiracy and stealing.  They pleaded guilty when the charges were read to them. Females  have been warned to stay Indoor as the  annual traditional ‘Oro’ festival in Ikorodu, Lagos State, is set to take place on May 16, 2024 featuring events throughout both the day and night. The Abia state government has raised the alarm saying the forensic audit report of the last  administration revealed that N10bn airport fund was diverted into 32 accounts.  Justice Abiodun Akinyemi of the Ogun State High Court, Abeokuta, has  sentenced  a 47-year-old secondary school teacher, Ojo Ezekiel, to life imprisonment for raping a seven-year-old minor .  The convict, Ojo Ezekiel, who was first arraigned on July 1, 2022, faced trial for the heinous crime under the provisions of the violence against persons (prohibition) law of Ogun State 2017.
