An official of the Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Yaú Inuwa, has returned two phones worth N4 million to the owner, Muhajiadina Kano, in Jeddah. The Adamawa State Police Command has apprehended eight suspected members of a syndicate involved in the theft of food supplies.  The group, which includes personnel from the Adamawa State Emergency Management Agency (ADSEMA) and militia members, was detained following a meticulously executed sting operation. A tragic incident occured on Friday in Jigawa State when a suspected smuggler killed an officer of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS).  The incident occurred during a stop-and-search operation on the Daura-Kano Road, resulting in the death of Inspector Hamza Elenwo, a member of the Federal Operations Unit Zone B. Judiciary workers in Anambra State have announced an indefinite strike set to begin on Monday, a move that will effectively shut down all court operations in the state.  This decision arises from the state government’s alleged failure to honour agreements made in 2011 and 2015, according to a letter obtained by journalists in Awka on Saturday. The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has indicted 86 tertiary institutions, including the University of Abuja (UNIABUJA), Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), Chrisland University, and Crawford University, for conducting admissions outside of its Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) during the 2022/2023 admission session.  This revelation emerged from an analysis of data on the admissions conducted in Nigerian universities, polytechnics, and other tertiary institutions.
