Former Presidential aspirant and prominent figure within the People’s Democratic Party, Dele Momodu, has sharply criticized the recent introduction of a 0.5 percent cyber security levy on all banking transactions in Nigeria. Momodu  attributed  it to what he perceives as the current administration’s failure to innovate. Terrorists launched a brazen attack in the early hours of Tuesday in Gusau, the capital of Zamfara State, targeting Mansur Kaura, the manager of TAJ Bank, Gusau, at his residence. The House of Representatives has taken summoned  major cement manufacturers including Dangote Cement, BUA Cement, Lafarge Cement, Asaka Cement, and Eagle Cement to appear before its joint committee within 14 days over  the recent surge in cement prices.
