Tension flared in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State on Monday as police officers reportedly fired shots at protesting women, leaving several injured and requiring hospitalization. Three men, identified as Bidemi Babalola, Oluwaseun Akinwale, and Sola Oyebanji, have been sentenced to death by hanging for their involvement in armed robbery by an Ekiti High Court sitting in Ado-Ekiti.
