The Oyo State Government has raised an alert over a cholera outbreak following the detection of suspected cases traced to construction workers from Lekki Peninsula in Lagos State. The Lagos State Police Command has dragged  two individuals, Sunday Oladapo and Kafayat Oyelakin, before the Ebutte Meta Magistrate Court in Lagos for allegedly impersonating medical practitioners and defrauding a resident of Jakande Estate, Sola Ajose, of N80 million. Oladapo and Oyelakin were arraigned on a seven-count charge that includes false representation, conspiracy to commit a felony, and obtaining money under false pretences.  The police prosecutor, Austin Nwabuisi, informed the court that Oladapo falsely claimed to be a practising medical doctor.  He reportedly administered injections to Ajose, diagnosing him with diabetes.
