The United States government on Tuesday, disclosed that  a substantial investment of $15 million has been spent on six northern states in Nigeria  to Promote Peace (CIPP) programme over the past five years. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has intensified its legal pursuit of the embattled former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, as a fresh charge has been filed against him at the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory. The Oyo State High Court sitting in Ibadan has sacked Oba Oyeleye Sakirudeen as the Onifiditi of Fiditi.  The court, in its judgment on suit IHOY/59/2013, granted an order of mandatory injunction, effectively setting aside the selection and appointment of Oba Sakirudeen. Nurses and midwives in Kaduna  state have  reportedly abandoned  the hospitals for lack of proper welfare package. The Rivers State Police Command has apprehended four members of a local vigilance group, including their commander, Ododo Kingsley Obubochi, for their involvement in a robbery incident in the Isiokpo area of the state.
