The Abia state government has raised the alarm saying the forensic audit report of the last  administration revealed that N10bn airport fund was diverted into 32 accounts.  Justice Abiodun Akinyemi of the Ogun State High Court, Abeokuta, has  sentenced  a 47-year-old secondary school teacher, Ojo Ezekiel, to life imprisonment for raping a seven-year-old minor .  The convict, Ojo Ezekiel, who was first arraigned on July 1, 2022, faced trial for the heinous crime under the provisions of the violence against persons (prohibition) law of Ogun State 2017.  The Lagos State Police Command has taken into custody the renowned musician, Habeeb Okikiola, better known as Portable, for his failure to settle a debt incurred during the purchase of a G-Wagon from a car dealer in the state. According to reliable sources, Portable acquired the luxury vehicle valued at N27 million but only made a partial payment of N13 million, leaving a substantial balance of N14 million unpaid. The Enugu State Government says it has created a register across the 17 Local Government Areas of the state for its unemployed citizens for possible recruitment in various areas. The Commissioner for Labour and Productivity, Mr Chika Ugwuoke disclosed this on Tuesday in Enugu in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN). The Kano State Government has initiated legal action against the Managing Director of Abubakar Rimi Television (ARTV), Mustapha Adamu Indabawa, and Staff Officer Ibrahim M. Bello, over allegations of criminal conspiracy, misappropriation, and diversion of funds amounting to millions of naira.  The charges, encompassing seven counts, were filed by the Kano State Public Complaint and Anti-Corruption Commission under the authorization of the state’s Attorney General. The Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) has announced its allocation of N1 billion for the construction of hostels in 12 institutions as part of its 2024 intervention cycle.  The Executive Secretary of TETFund, Sonny Echono, made this declaration during a One-Day Workshop on ‘Emerging Areas of Students Needs in Beneficiary Institutions’ held in Abuja on Tuesday.
