The Police Command in Lagos State has arrested five persons, including a couple, over their alleged involvement in selling a two-month-old baby. The Command’s spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the arrests on Saturday in a statement in Lagos. Nigeria’s Vice President, Kashim Shettima, has labelled  the organisers of the #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protests as “bandits and idiots.”  He said  that these individuals, allegedly residing in countries like Australia, the United States, and Finland, are orchestrating unrest in Nigeria from abroad. The Nigerian Army has dismissed six soldiers for allegedly abandoning their posts during a Boko Haram attack in Borno State.  The soldiers, part of the counterinsurgency operation known as Operation Lafiya Dole, were reportedly involved in a confrontation with the insurgents near Damboa, a town that has been a frequent target of militant activities. The National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has issued a critical alert concerning a suspected counterfeit batch of Phesgo® 600mg/600mg injection in Nigeria.  The alert specifically identifies the problematic batch as C3809C51. PLATFORM TIMES reports that Phesgo® is a combination drug used for the treatment of HER2-positive breast cancer. It combines two active ingredients, pertuzumab and trastuzumab, along with hyaluronidase. This medication is typically used in combination with chemotherapy. The Department of State Security Services (DSS) and the Nigerian Police have made a series of arrests connected to the forthcoming #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protest.  Among those detained are a University of Ibadan (UI) student and a Kogi activist.
