The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier-General Olakunle Nafiu, has revealed that the Scheme provides services valued at more than ₦14 billion annually to Lagos State and its residents. The National Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) has raised alarm that more than one in three Nigerian children under the age of five is malnourished, describing the crisis as a major public health emergency threatening the nation’s future.
