Human rights lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, has petitioned the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), demanding a probe into the alleged mismanagement of N283.3 billion received during the six-month tenure of Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas (retd) as Sole Administrator of Rivers State. The Niger State Police Command has busted a syndicate behind the alleged theft and vandalism of critical facilities at the Kainji Power Plant valued at over ₦4.8 billion. Two Nigerians have been arrested in separate police operations in India for allegedly running drug cartels valued at over N700 million.
