The Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN), popularly known as ‘Shiites’, has launched a scathing indictment against Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State and the state police commissioner, Mr. Ali Audu Dabigi. The Nigerian National Committee of the International Press Institute (IPI Nigeria) has issued a stern warning to Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, demanding the immediate release of a  journalist Daniel Ojukwu. Former Kano State Governor, Malam Ibrahim Shakarau, has cautioned  the federal government against allowing the operatives of the proposed state police to carry firearms and other dangerous weapons.
