The police on Wednesday brought a 20-year-old man, Monday Ojo, before an Ado-Ekiti Chief Magistrates’ Court for alleged housebreaking and stealing of a pot of soup and other items. The defendant, who has no fixed address, is standing trial on a two-count charge of housebreaking and stealing. He, however, pleaded not guilty. The prosecutor, Insp Moyosola Adesola, told the court that the defendant committed the offences on March 14 at noon on Falegan, Ilawe Road, Ado-Ekiti. A man, Ojo Oladeji has been sentenced  to life imprisonment for defiling an 11-year-old minor three times. PLATFORM TIMES reports that the convict committed the offence in an uncompleted building. Justice Rahman Oshodi of the Ikeja Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence Court delivered the judgement  on Wednesday . The judge held that the prosecution was able to prove the charge of defilement beyond reasonable doubt against Ojo.
