The Police Command in Lagos State, have announced the arrest of two fake soldiers by the Nigerian Army.   The two individuals – Jonathan Yahaya and Mohammed Umar, were handed over to them for falsely parading themselves as soldiers. An Ado-Ekiti Chief Magistrates’ Court, on Wednesday, ordered the remand of Saviour Daniel, 25; and David Isaiah, 25; in a correctional facility in Ado-Ekiti over alleged murder. The defendants, whose addresses were unknown, are being tried for alleged murder and conspiracy. The prosecutor, Insp Olubu Apata, told the court that the defendants committed the offences on February 4 in Ado-Ekiti. The Kaduna Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has apprehended Captain Nuhu Haruna for an alleged criminal breach of trust amounting to N1,020,000,000 (One Billion, Twenty Million Naira). The arrest was prompted by a petitioner who claimed that in December 2023, he engaged with the suspect for a foreign exchange transaction involving N1,020,000.00.
