A new Commandant of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, in Adamawa State, has assumed office. The new commandant, Idris Bande, was welcomed into his office at the state command headquarters in Yola on Thursday by officials and personnel of the corps at the state level. The Nigerian Army has refuted a report making the rounds that its personnel invaded churches and dispersed the congregation in their places of worship at Umunze in Orumba North Local Government Area of Anambra.
