The prices of garri, a major staple food, and tomatoes have dropped significantly in Anambra, Ebonyi, and Enugu, bringing some respite to many households in the states. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has denied the allegation that it shared forfeited assets among its officials, ministers and President Bola Tinubu ‘s aides. This was at the heels of an online publication alleging that EFCC shared N54 billion forfeited by some associates of former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Godwin Emefiele, among its officials and ministers. The Enugu State Government, Wednesday, demolished properties used by kidnappers for detaining their victims in the outskirts of Enugu, the state capital. Among the properties were an uncompleted storey-building with an underground tunnel at Nkwubor Layout in Emene Nike where a large cache of arms and ammunition were recovered and a large farm housing a poultry, piggery, and plantain plantation at Ogbeke Nike all in Enugu East LGA.
