A Lagos State Magistrates’ Court sitting in Badagry on Thursday ordered that a 28-year-old man, Stanley Amos, be remanded in a correctional centre for allegedly defiling a 13-year-old girl. Chief Magistrate Patrick Adekomaiya directed that Amos be held in the Awarjigoh Correctional Centre in Badagry after Amos pleaded not guilty to defilement. In addition, Adekomaiya ordered that the case file be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions for legal advice. The Police on Thursday arraigned Mr Ezekiel Ogunbiyi, 32 and Wasiu Sule, 42, before an Iyaganku Magistrate’s Court, Ibadan, for allegedly stealing pandrol clips worth N220,000. The duo whose addresses were not provided were charged with conspiracy and stealing, to which they pleaded not guilty. The Confederation of African Football, CAF on Thursday confirmed that Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania will co-host the 2024 African Nations Championship, CHAN.
