The Borno State Emergency Management Agency, SEMA, has rescued 3,683 people trapped in their homes following the severe flooding in Maiduguri. The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC has confirmed the arrest of about 823 drivers in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT for allegedly beating traffic lights. Spokesperson of FRSC, Olusegun Ogungbemide, who made this known in a statement on Friday, said the corps also administered 923 fines, impounded 189 vehicles and confiscated 634 licenses and vehicle particulars for traffic light violations, zebra crossing and other offences in the nation’s capital.
