The Nigerian Meteorological Agency, NiMet, has forecast thunderstorms and rains from Wednesday to Friday across the country. NiMet’s weather outlook released on Tuesday in Abuja envisaged thunderstorms over parts of Borno, Adamawa, Taraba, Yobe, Katsina, Sokoto and Kaduna States during the morning hours on Wednesday in the northern region. Twenty (20) chairmanship aspirants in Kano State have tested positive for multiple drugs screening for the upcoming local government elections, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), has said. Abubakar Idris Ahmad, the NDLEA’s Commander in the state, explained that the aspirants presented by the ruling NNPP in the state tested positive for substances, including opioids, hemp benzodiazepines and nicotine.
