The Adamawa State Jail Delivery Committee, JDC, has discharged 42 inmates at the Yolde Pate Correctional Centre. The Yolde Pate centre, in Yola South Local Government Area, is one of the three correctional centres within the Yola South and Yola North municipal local government areas. The JDC, headed by the state Chief Judge, Justice Hafsat Abdulrahaman, bailed 25 other inmates and convicted yet 37 others at the Yolde Pate centre. Patients down with monkey pox (Mpox) virus in Akwa Ibom State has risen to five. This was revealed on Breakthrough Action-Nigeria WhatsApp group by the Disease Surveillance and Notification Officer in the State Ministry of Health, Samuel Etuk, who earlier announced that the number of patients in the state was four. The Chief Magistrate Court 2 sitting in the Adamawa State capital, Yola, has sentenced 15 gangsters known in local parlance as Shila Boys to between one and five years imprisonment for various offences.
