The National Identity Management Commission, NIMC, has said the September 14 deadline by the Federal Government for the linkage of the National Identification Number, NIN, with the Subscribers’ Identity Modules, SIM, remains sacrosanct. Amid an ongoing row with the Corporate Affairs Commission, CAC, over its registration, the Nigerian Law Society, NLS, has declared that it will benefit Nigerians by breaking the monopoly of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA. The Kano State Fire Service has confirmed the death of two persons in a building collapse that occurred in Nomansland Faage Local Government Area of the state. The Public Relations Officer of the service, Saminu Yusif Abudullahi, said two persons had been rescued alive so far and taken to the hospital, while two were dead as the rescue operation continued.
