The naira fell against the dollar on the foreign exchange market on Wednesday, 24 hours after appreciation. FMDQ data on Wednesday showed that the naira depreciated by N12.29 to N1606.56 per dollar on Wednesday from N1594.27 on Tuesday. Akwa Ibom State has recorded four confirmed cases of monkeypox from January to August 2024. The Disease Surveillance and Notification Officer, Akwa Ibom State Ministry of Health, Samuel S. Etuk, disclosed this on Wednesday, during the Breakthrough ACTION-Nigeria’s Media Partnership Strengthening and Review Meeting in Uyo, the state capital. The Edo State Police Command has ordered the immediate arrest of individuals driving vehicles with tinted glasses in the state. Edo State Commissioner of Police Iwo Nemi also ordered the arrest of individuals driving unregistered vehicles, or vehicles with covered plate numbers.
