An Enugu Magistrates’ Court sitting in Enugu North Local Government Area, on Tuesday, remanded a 40-year-old man, Osita Igwe, to the Enugu Correctional Centre for allegedly robbing another resident, Chijioke Mba of his belongings. The robbery was sad to have been carried out on July 5, 2024, at the Ebeano Tunnel, Enugu. The Nigerian Immigration Services, NIS, have cited the violation of immigration laws, as the reason for the repatriation of a Zimbabwean Bishop, Eben K. Nhiwatawi. Nhiwatawi who recently arrived in Adamawa State to preside over the election of a new bishop of the United Methodist Church Nigeria, UMCN, was arrested and detained by the Immigration. Adeleye Aniyikaye has completed his switch to Iraqi Football League side, AL-kahrbaa SC, DAILY POST reports. The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a nurse over the alleged death of a 36-year-old woman, simply identified as Mrs Abiola. Jos Electricity Distribution said the company has refunded N13 billion on electricity tokens to postpaid customers erroneously overbilled between January and September 2023 following an order by the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission, NERC. The Disco Head of Corporate Communications, Friday Adakole Elijah disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday. According to him, 52,000 electricity customers received the refund. The Adamawa State Executive Council, SEC, has approved N19.7 billion to rebuild a major shopping centre in the capital city, Yola. The Jimeta Modern Shoping Complex was demolished last month by the government to yield some grounds to a flyover being built around it and to come up with an even more modern shopping centre.
