The 60 days detention, for thorough investigation into the myriad of allegations against the suspect, is to begin from August 27. A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has restrained Loyola Jesuit College, Abuja, from stopping the admission process of a teenager, Master Aondo Terdoo Caleb. The student had dragged the College before the court over an admission dispute. Anambra State Commissioner for Health, Dr Afam Obidike, has said that the state has not yet confirmed any case of M-Pox. Obidike made this known on Tuesday in Awka, saying that the ministry had activated Emergency Response Teams across the 21 Local Government Areas. He said that the state deployed proactive measures and heightened vigilance following confirmed cases of Mpox in the country, especially neighbouring states – Ebonyi, Abia and Delta.
