Five Edo Queens players have been named in the Team of the Tournament at the just concluded WAFU B CAF Women’s Champions League qualifiers in Cote d’Ivoire. The players are Emem Essien, Valentino Uroko, Suliat Abideen, Vera Samuel and Ijeoma Uzoma. Edo Queens hammered Beniniose side Ainonvi FC 3-0 in the competition’s final. They are the third Nigerian club to win the competition. The Nigerian side picked the sole ticket for the 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League.
