The Deputy Director, Public Affairs of the Lagos State Ministry of Transportation, Mrs Bolanle Ogunlola, says the Traffic Monitoring and Investigation Unit of the ministry has impounded 57 commercial vehicles and tricycles for traffic violations. In a statement on Friday in Lagos, Ogunlola noted that the vehicles and tricycles were apprehended when the unit conducted a comprehensive enforcement operation around the Iyana Ipaja garage and its connecting roads. Communities around Shuwa, a town in Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa State, have been hit by torrential rainfall, which led to flood that has claimed six lives. The flood displaced 10,264 people now registered as refugees in several camps on safer grounds around the area. Bayelsa United have announced the signing of former Flying Eagles captain, Daniel Bameyi. The right-back signed a one-year contract with the Prosperity Boys. Bameyi joined the former President Federation Cup champions from non-league side Yum Yum FC.
