The Nigerian Petroleum Company Limited has withheld the sum of $262.6 million in taxes due to the Federal Inland Revenue. This is according to a report from a Federation Allocation Account Committee Post-Mortem Sub-Committee (PMSC) meeting held in August 2024. Accordingly, the deducted $262.6 million is as part of the Road Infrastructure Tax Credit Scheme (RITCS). Operatives of the Bauchi State Police Command, in a joint operation with quasi-security outfits, have arrested a 54-year-old suspected gun-runner identified as Jinta Sati Dan-Anacha. Spokesman of the Command, SP Ahmed Wakili, disclosed in a statement on Friday that Dan-Anacha, a resident of Anguwan Bauchi in Jos, Plateau State was apprehended by a sister security agency during a stop-and-search operation along Jos-Bauchi road.
