In a spirited call for unity and solidarity within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogun State, Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu, a prominent member of the party’s Board of Trustees,has emphasized the need for internal cohesion as the party gears up for future electoral battles.
Speaking at the year-end gathering of PDP leaders from Ogun Central Senatorial District in Abeokuta, Adebutu urged party faithful to prioritize unity and collaboration over internal strife.
He highlighted the detrimental impact of internal discord, cautioning against divisiveness that could potentially undermine the party’s prospects in the state.
“We must appeal to our people to remain steadfast and united,” Adebutu asserted.
“Despite the challenges we face, particularly in a society where poverty is weaponized, we must stay true to our principles. There are brighter days ahead for our party in Ogun State.”
Addressing the gathering, Hon. Aderinokun, the PDP’s Senatorial candidate for Ogun Central in the last elections, echoed Adebutu’s sentiments, urging party members to rally together in preparation for the upcoming 2027 elections.
He emphasized the importance of closing ranks and halting internal conflicts, which he warned could be exploited by political adversaries.
“Let us cease the infighting,” Aderinokun urged. “Our enemies thrive on our disunity. As we look towards 2027, it is imperative that we work tirelessly to ensure victory for our party. The youth and party leaders alike must unite in this endeavour.”
Leadership figures within the Ogun State PDP, including Rotarian Abayomi Tella, Hon. Sunday Solarin, and Hon. Jamiu Keshinro, reiterated the call for unity and harmony within the party.
They implored members at all levels to set aside personal differences and focus on expanding the party’s base by attracting new members.
“We need every member of our party on board,” emphasized Rotarian Abayomi Tella, the State Chairman of the PDP.
