The Peoples Democratic Party has defeated the All Progressives Congress in the supplementary election held in poling unit 4, ward 1, Ifo constituency 1 in Ogun State.
PLATFORM TIMES reports that the PDP candidate for house of assembly seat from Ifo 1 constituency, Okikiola Ogundele defeated the speaker of Ogun state house of assembly and the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Olakunle Oluomo .
After six and half hours of voting , PDP was declared winner in the election in the unit .
The PDP polled 185 votes ,APC garnered 167 votes while Action Democratic Party, Action Democratic Congress and Action Alliance Congress scored one vote each with six voided votes.
PLATFORM TIMES further gathered that 1,596 collected the Permanent Voter Cards, 1,848 were registered voters while 363 were accredited voters in the polling unit .
The results are being collated for the eventual winner of the election.
The APC had been leading with 969 votes during the March 18 election.
The collation of results is ongoing for the declaration of the winner for the seat.
