President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed satisfaction with the just-concluded election in Nigeria, stating that he was pleased to have fulfilled the promise he made to Nigerians to ensure credible and transparent elections in the country.
The President made this statement shortly after casting his vote at PU003 Kofar Baru, Babban Tone Quarters of Sarkin Yara ‘A’ Ward at his Daura hometown, Katsina State.
He emphasized that his administration had promised to work for Nigerians, and he had kept that promise by ensuring credible polls.
Buhari further stated that his administration means what it says and says what it means, and he would not allow anyone to steal the country’s resources.
His words, “In this administration, we mean what we say, we say what we mean. We told Nigerians we’re going to work for them, we are going to maintain trust. We’ll not allow anybody knowingly to steal their resources. We promised to make sure we do our best and I believe we’ve done that.” he said.
He added that his government had promised to do its best, and he believed that they had done just that.
Buhari equally expressed confidence that he had known that the President-elect, Bola Tinubu, would emerge as the winner of the presidential poll due to his past accomplishments.
His statement is coming on the heels of the just-concluded presidential election in Nigeria, which was highly contested, and it was believed that the candidate had a chance of winning.
