A car fell of the Anthony-Oke Bridge in Lagos on Sunday but the driver managed to escape death.

The incident happened at about 7:30 am on Sunday.

Confirming the incident, the Public Relations Officer, LASTMA, Adebayo Taofiq, said “It was a Toyota Camry car with registration number SMK-43 MO that fell off the bridge.

He was moving from Anthony-Oke inwards Oshodi. He was competing with other vehicles on the road and swapped the steering from the other side and, as a result, he fell off from the bridge and landed inside a ditch.

“Immediately the incident happened, he called one or two of his friends, and they quickly arranged a towing vehicle to evacuate the vehicle off the road. However, he sustained injuries on some parts of his body.

“Policemen from Anthony visited the place and LASTMA officials assisted in removing the vehicles to prevent gridlock on the road. Motorists should be careful when driving to avoid frequent accidents on the road.”
