In compliance with the directive of the Corps Marshal for a thorough crackdown on rickety vehicles, a Toyota Camry was apprehended on the Abeokuta – Sagamu Expressway on Monday, September 4, 2023, for operating with only three tyres.

Signed Chief Route Commander Florence Okpe FRSC Public Education Officer for Sector Commander FRSC Ogun Sector Command said the  vehicle, identified by registration number FFF 522 TK, was intercepted by a diligent patrol team from the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Ogun Sector Command, Abeokuta, during the course of their routine duties.

She said the driver, Mr. Adeyinka, has since been charged to court in accordance with the law.

He added that this operation against hazardous vehicles gained heightened momentum following the circulation of a viral video showing a car moving along the same Abeokuta – Sagamu Expressway with just three tyres.

CC Anthony Uga, the Sector Commander of FRSC Ogun Sector Command, advised all motorists to strictly adhere to traffic rules and regulations while avoiding any actions that could compromise their safety and that of fellow road users.
