I have a major announcement to make, but first, a word of caution:

    Not for anyone under 18!

Now that we’ve got that out of the way, let’s get to the exciting news:

Ibrahim’s debut anthology is finally here! The title? Another Cup of You—and I couldn’t be more thrilled.

I first heard about Ibrahim through a friend who told me, “If you want to stay committed to your writing, you need a friend like Ibrahim.” And she wasn’t wrong. I’ve watched him push himself relentlessly, collaborating with one of the most respected publishers to bring his vision for this anthology to life.

Ibrahim Adedeji Salvatore is not only a poet but also a passionate literary enthusiast, drawing inspiration from the beauty and healing power of creative writing. His works span a wide range of themes, but they often focus on love, passion, and memories. He lives and writes from Ibadan, Nigeria, and can be reached on social media:

Feel free to connect with him! I’ll also include the link to download the ebook at the end of this article.

Now, let’s talk about Another Cup of You. This poetry collection delves into all aspects of life—love, sex, politics, religion, and everything in between. The coffee-themed cover and the title reflect Ibrahim’s undeniable love for coffee. He’s been sharing snippets with a select few, and I was fortunate enough to read a couple myself. His mastery of language and figurative expression is nothing short of remarkable. When I read the full collection, I was completely blown away.

I still remember coming across the poem Alagbafo during a quick work break—it left me so excited, I almost shouted out loud! It’s that powerful, and I encourage everyone reading this to dive into Another Cup of You. You won’t be disappointed!

I also admire how he seamlessly intertwines themes of religion and love in his piece “Iftar.” The imagery of sundown, marking the moment when Muslims break their fast, is beautifully paired with the word “Habibty,” meaning “beloved” in Arabic. Her smile mirrors the deep relief one feels with the first sip of water after a long day of fasting. This poem is pure brilliance!

Another standout in this collection is the poem Bathroom—strictly for adults, but I’ll leave the details for you to discover on your own. Then there’s Idibo, which brilliantly captures the complexities of Nigeria’s general elections. However, the poem that truly moved me to the verge of tears is Placards of Questions.

This e-book is packed with gems, and I guarantee you’ll enjoy every moment. I found myself laughing, smiling, gasping, and even tearing up as I read through it. It would be selfish not to share the download link—don’t worry, it’s completely free!
