Chelsea manager, Enzo Maresca has singled out Tyrique George for praise after his side’s 2-1 defeat to Servettein Thursday’s UEFA Europa Conference League second leg play-off.
Maresca said the 18-year-old was good during the encounter, insisting he ‘had personality’.
George replaced Noni Madueke in the 62 minutes of the match and impressed Maresca as Chelsea qualified 3-2 on aggregate.
“He was good!” Maresca said after the match.
“He was not shy. He had a personality. We also had Josh Acheampong on the bench.
“It’s important to build something with the academy players.”
