The Dangote Refinery has applauded the Nigerian judiciary for what it described as its courage and fairness in upholding the rule of law amid recent disputes, while also reiterating its commitment to employee welfare and national development.
In a statement issued at the weekend, the management of the refinery said it remained resolute in building a workplace culture that rewards performance, protects workers’ dignity, and ensures a safe environment.
“Through continuous training, mentorship and professional development, we create visible pathways for growth, thereby empowering our employees to advance into leadership roles and build long-term, fulfilling careers,” the company said.
The refinery did not mince words in commending the judiciary for intervening at what it called a “critical moment” when certain actors allegedly attempted to sabotage its operations.
“One institution that we revere and must loudly acknowledge is the Nigerian judiciary. They stood up for the truth and proved themselves as the bastion of hope for all of us.
It is unfortunate that some oligarchs publicly displayed rascality and lawlessness by refusing to accept service of valid court orders intended to restrain their destructive actions.
Regardless, the fact that the judiciary came to society’s rescue, notwithstanding intimidation from hypocritical and sabotaging oligarchs, stands the judicial institution out as a just arbiter,” the company declared.
Reiterating its unwavering dedication to national service, Dangote Refinery vowed to remain focused on its mandate of driving industrial growth and energy security for Nigeria.
“To all our stakeholders, big and small, we thank you and will continue to always count on your support. We will not relent in serving the Nigerian nation faithfully and diligently through the uninterrupted production of petroleum products.
“Our commitment to the Nigerian nation and our pact with its people remain undiluted, undiminished and unalterable, notwithstanding the distractions from detractors and saboteurs in our midst,” the statement read.
The refinery, which is Africa’s largest, described its mission as not only meeting Nigeria’s energy needs but also creating sustainable opportunities for its workforce and future leaders in the sector.
