In appreciation of customer loyalty and unwavering patronage, Dangote Cement Plc has rewarded its top-performing distributors and corporate clients with cash and gift items worth over N11bn
The gesture was unveiled at the 2025 edition of the Dangote Customers Awards and Gala Nite, held in Lagos. Themed ‘Let’s Acceler8’, the annual event was dedicated to recognising distributors and customers who significantly contributed to the company’s performance in 2024.
Chairman of Dangote Cement and President of Dangote Industries Limited, Aliko Dangote, applauded the resilience and commitment of the distributors, attributing the company’s market dominance to their sustained efforts.
“In the face of economic headwinds, you have remained steadfast in ensuring our products are available across the country,” Dangote said. “Thanks to your efforts, we now command over 57 per cent of the market share. This year’s theme is a rallying call for unity and collective growth as we strive for unmatched market leadership in 2025.”
He revealed that the company was rewarding its customers with CNG trucks, containers loaded with cement, and significant cash gifts. “This year, we are disbursing over N11bn in rewards, not only to express our gratitude but also to encourage continued partnership in pushing the boundaries of growth,” he said.
Dangote assured stakeholders of continued investments in innovation and sustainable production practices, adding that the company remains committed to delivering premium quality products.
Also speaking at the event, Group Managing Director of Dangote Cement Plc, Arvind Pathak, described the company’s customers as the backbone of its nationwide reach.
He noted that their role was critical in driving sales and maintaining strong market presence across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones.
“To support your businesses, we have distributed over 5,000 containers to retailers, which ensures direct-from-factory supply and extended product shelf life,” he said. “In alignment with our Chairman’s vision, we plan to deploy another 4,000 containers this year.”
Highlighting the company’s push for sustainability, Pathak said Dangote Cement was converting its fleet of over 7,000 trucks from diesel to Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), with 3,100 already operational.
“We are investing heavily in clean energy, and these rewards – including CNG trucks – reflect our dual commitment to customer growth and environmental responsibility,” he added.
Group Executive Director, Commercial Operations, Dangote Industries Limited, Fatima Aliko Dangote, praised the distributors for their role in expanding market penetration and sustaining public awareness of the brand. She reaffirmed the company’s commitment to deepening the relationship with its business partners.
The awards were presented in different categories, including Regional Awards, Growth Awards, and Best Performing Customers, with recipients celebrated for their outstanding achievements in 2024.
Dangote Cement remains Africa’s largest cement producer and a major player in Nigeria’s construction and infrastructure sector.
