    Daud Olatunji,

Former Governor of Ogun State and current Senator representing Ogun East, Gbenga Daniel, has emphasized the need for patience and understanding amidst economic hardships, attributing them to the challenges inherited by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Addressing the press during a thank-you tour in Ijebu-Ode on Monday, Daniel acknowledged the difficulties facing the nation, expressing his desire for President Tinubu to openly discuss the economic challenges but recognizing the constraints within the same political party.

Accompanied by his wife, Olufunsho, Gbenga Daniel distributed food supplies and skill equipment to the people of the Ogun East Senatorial District as part of his outreach efforts.

Daniel appealed to Nigerians to show understanding towards President Tinubu, citing the daunting economic situation inherited from the previous administration within the same political party affiliation.

The former governor emphasized the importance of acknowledging the inherited challenges and encouraged citizens to be patient, assuring them that the president is committed to finding solutions.

Speaking directly to the residents of Ogun East, Daniel reiterated his commitment to executing tasks entrusted to him in Abuja, assuring them that he would fulfill his responsibilities.

He urged citizens to stand by themselves, emphasizing that collective effort is essential for the country’s progress.

Daniel pleaded with the people to show a little more patience and understanding, expressing optimism over the situation in the country.

He said, “Our president, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, I wish he could talk because he cannot, as this is the same party he took over. However, from what I know, we just have to praise his courage.

“We acknowledge that things are very difficult, but we need to encourage him. We urge our people to be patient; by the special grace of God, everything will be alright.

“I want to specially plead with you, my people, and in particular, I want to plead with you to show understanding towards our president, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

He inherited what we can call a failed economy, but it is important for you to understand.

“All the things that have happened before, he cannot change. All he intends to do is to find solutions, and I want to assure you that by the end of his term, our country will be better for it.

“I want to remind all of you that you must not forget, we are the next, we are the ones there. If we do not do it well and do not stand by ourselves, we will be abused.”

“Therefore, I want to plead with all of you; let us show a little more patience and understanding. By the grace of God, everything will be okay.

“Now, talking to my people, I want to assure you that the tasks you gave me to execute in Abuja, by the grace of God, I will do them all.”
