The Dawah Front of Nigeria has declared its unwavering support for the Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Professor Ishaq Oloyede, amid controversies surrounding the recent conduct of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
In a statement issued by the National Coordinator of the organisation, Alhaj Muslihdeen AbdulGafar, the group described Oloyede as an “epitome of integrity and sincerity,” lauding his reforms at JAMB since assuming office.
“Professor Oloyede’s stellar track record as a scholar, administrator, and leader is well-documented.
“His conduct as JAMB Registrar has brought much-needed reform and integrity to the institution,” the statement read in part.
The group said it believes that the allegations being levelled against Oloyede over irregularities in the 2025 UTME are baseless and driven by selfish interests determined to undermine his achievements.
“We commend Professor Oloyede for his unwavering commitment to upholding the integrity of JAMB.
“His dedication to ensuring that the examination process is free from malpractices and biases is commendable,” it added.
Dawah Front also applauded the Registrar’s openness about lapses observed in the last examination cycle, saying his transparency does not diminish his overall performance but reinforces his integrity.
The group urged Nigerians to rally behind Oloyede as he continues efforts to sanitize the board and restore public trust in the nation’s examination process.
“Together, we can build a more transparent and accountable system that benefits our youth and the nation as a whole,” the statement concluded.
