The autobiography of the late Judge of the International Court of Justice and former Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Prince Bola Ajibola, titled Tribulations & Trophies, Bola Ajibola . . . In His Own Words!, is set for a public presentation in Lagos on April 10, 2025.
According to a statement by the Chairman of the Bola Ajibola Book Presentation Committee, Prof. Ibraheem Gbajabiamila, the event will take place at the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The occasion is expected to attract top government functionaries, members of the diplomatic corps, and captains of industry from both local and international spheres, particularly in the legal and educational sectors.
Gbajabiamila highlighted the significance of Ajibola’s legacy, stating, “Judge Ajibola’s life’s work, etched in service and dedication, spans a commendable tenure as a jurist, public servant, diplomat, and an advocate for peace around the globe.
Bola Ajibola stood as a beacon of vision, wisdom, sacrifice, and integrity, a figure whose journey from the humble corridors of Owu Day School, Abeokuta, to the grand halls of the International Court of Justice in The Hague is truly inspiring.”
The event will be chaired by former President Olusegun Obasanjo, while former Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, will deliver the keynote address.
A special address will be presented by former Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Raji Fashola, SAN, with a book review by legal scholar, Prof. Auwal Yadudu.
Among the prominent figures expected at the book presentation are business moguls such as Alhaji Aliko Dangote, President of the Dangote Group; Alhaji Abdul Samad Rabiu, President of BUA/ASR Group; and Sir (Dr) Kensington Adebukola Adebutu, alongside a host of other distinguished personalities.
The book presentation promises to be a momentous occasion, celebrating the life and legacy of one of Nigeria’s most esteemed jurists and public servants, whose contributions to law, governance, and global diplomacy remain indelible.
