    Dollar-to-Naira exchange rate records N46 gain in last seven days

    The Naira recorded a N46.91 gain against the dollar at the official foreign exchange market on a week-on-week basis.

    FMDQ data showed the Naira strengthened to N1,546.41 against the dollar to close on Friday compared to N1593.32 exchanged last week, 6 September 2024.

    This indicated that the Naira rebounded against the dollar by N45.91 in the week under review.

    Meanwhile, at the black market, the Naira remained flat at N1,665 per dollar on Friday, the same exchange rate as last week.




    The week under review had mixed sentiments of three gains and two losses.

    On Monday, Wednesday and Friday the Naira appreciated against the dollar while it depreciated on Tuesday and Thursday according to FMDQ data last week.
