Edo Queens forward Folashade Ijamilusi has expressed her desire to win the FIFA Women’s World Cup with the Super Falcons.
Ijamilusi scored a hat-trick for the Super Falcons in the friendly against Algeria at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, on Tuesday.
The youngster said she was delighted with her performance in the game.
“After scoring the first goal, I was so excited, I had to check if I was dreaming, and I looked at my side and I said it’s not a dream,” she stated in a chat with the media.
“I want to win the first-ever World Cup with Nigeria. Despite the challenges, I never thought of quitting, even when my dad was against it. I used to hear about Asisat Oshoala, and I told myself that one day people would know my name too and I would be as big as she is.”
DAILY POST recalls that Ijamilusi won the top scorer award in the Nigeria Women’s Football League last season.
