The Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Ogun State Chapter has felicitated with Muslims in celebrating Eid El Kabir, as it urged Nigerians to also be sacrificial.
The Ogun CAN chairman, Bishop Tunde Akinsanya, made this call on Wednesday, through a press statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary, Rev Tolulope Taiwo.
In the statement, Akinsanya explained that offering sacrifice and being patriotic is what Nigerians need to overcome the challenges being faced in the country.
He stated, “the state can chairman Bishop Tunde Akin Akinsanya in his good will message called on everyone to emulate the sacrificial life OF Prophet Ibraheem who was willing to offer his son to god before the divine provision of lamb for replacement.
“The ogun can state chairman called on everyone to exhibit such spirit of sacrifice and patrotism now than before to overcome the numerous challenges that we are been faced as a nation.”
He also urged Nigerians to be religious tolerant, as he also called on political leaders to fulfill their roles.
“Leaders across all the level of government in nigeria to live up to the expectation of the masses by providing good governance to the citizenry,” he added.
