Arsenal defeated Tottenham 1-0 in Sunday’s North London Derby in the Premier League.

The Gunners came into the game with injuries to key players like Martin Odegaard and Mikel Merino.

Declan Rice was also unavailable due to a one-match suspension, while Riccardo Calafiori and Oleksandr Zinchenko were not included in the squad.

But it was Gabriel Magalhaes who proved to be the hero for Mikel Arteta’s men, as he rose highest to thump home a header from Bukayo Saka’s corner kick.

Arsenal held on for all three points at the home of their fierce rivals.

The result also saw them go into second place with 10 points, two behind champions Manchester City, who they face next Sunday.

For Spurs, it is their second defeat in the first four fixtures of this campaign.
