2024 Ballon d’Or nominee, Rodri, has picked out Arsenal duo Declan Rice and Jorginho as two of his favourite central midfielders in the world.
The Manchester City star is widely considered to be among the best midfield players in the world.
The Spanaird has won 11 trophies across an illustrious four-year stay at Man City under manager under Pep Guardiola.
Speaking ahead of Man City’s Premier League tie with Brentford on Saturday, Rodri told ESPN:
“If you ask me names I think I would not be fair because I will leave some ones that deserve it,” the 28-year-old replied when asked about his favorites midfielders.
“But I don’t know… let’s say, right now, Declan [Rice] I like a lot, what he does. Even though it’s not the same role I do.
“I love Jorginho, when he was in the best shape.
“In the past, for example, I would say [Sergio] Busquets, Casemiro, Xabi Alonso, these kinds of players that can manage the game.”
