Details of Arsenal’s transfer deal for Real Sociedad midfielder Mikel Merino have been revealed.
According to football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Merino has reached an agreement that will see him join the Gunners this summer.
In a tweet on X, Romano said Merino will travel to London to undergo his medical with Arsenal in the coming days.
“Mikel Merino to Arsenal, here we go! Verbal agreement in place for Spanish midfielder to join Gunners,” Romano wrote on Thursday.
“€32m plus €5m add-ons with favourable payment terms. Contract until 2028.
“Arsenal had been closing in on the Merino deal since the end of July, Merino only wanted Arsenal.
“He’s set to travel for medical, signing until 2028 plus option.”
