Alex Iwobi was pleased with Fulham’s performance in Saturday’s Premier League clash with Leicester City.
The Whites recorded their first win of the new Premier League campaign against the Foxes at the Craven Cottage.
Iwobi scored the winning goal in the 2-1 victory.
New signing, Emile Smith Rowe clinically finished past Leicester goalkeeper, Mads Hermansen in the 18th minute.
Despite Wout Faes equalising, Iwobi smashed home the winner after good work from Antonee Robinson.
The Nigerian said that he was particularly motivated to take all three points after coming so close to getting a result at Old Trafford on opening night.
“We were proud of our performance against United but we didn’t get the result we wanted, so it was only right we got our first three points at home and there’s no better feeling,” he told FFCTV.
“The main message was to start on the front foot and I believe that we did, especially the first thirty minutes, we were dominating the game in my opinion.”
